Leagrave Youth Work Action Group

Every half term and end of term LYWAG holds an under 18's club night/ disco at Leagrave Methodists Church Hall. The popular nights attract around 50 young people . The young people take responsibility for the DJing, helping them develop their skills and take ownership of the events.

The Luton Youth Festival takes place on the first Saturday of July every year. The free Festival and Family Fun Day remains one of the areas most unique and exciting events.  Leagrave Youth Work Action Group lead a diverse mix of community groups in delivering an exciting and fun day for all the family. The grounds of St Luke’s Church Leagrave will once again be filled with a diverse range of activities and performance. The festival’s unique environment, in the grounds and buildings of St Luke’s Church, Leagrave creates an eclectic atmosphere where all generations can come together and celebrate the talent of young people and celebrate the positive creative work of the town's schools.

The front lawn is converted into a scout’s activity camp complete with BBQ and live music tent. The church itself is turned into a theatre with NGYT hosting a stage that will feature everything from street dance to ballet.

This years inflatables include Penalty shoot out, obstacle course, children and adults bouncy castles. As always the inflatables are completely free to go on, ensuring whatever your budget there’s free fun for all.

Information about this years festival will be available on at www.lutonyouthfestival.co.uk in Spring 20156. If you'd like to get involved or perform email us at info@lywag.org.uk
